Description of Stud-wrench :-

The Stud-wrench / spanner or Stud-opener has been designed after carrying out systematic observation based research in the automotive and engineering industry. The design team has done thorough analysis of this research and evolved a design guideline by following proper design process. The outcome of this design process is a flawless, robust, self adjusting Stud-wrench to operate upon any size of round bar or stud which is capable of giving unmatched functional performance.

The orientation of a positive circle is pivoted to the cam having a handle which is positioned in such a way that when the positive circle moves on the pivot, the negative circle with respect to the cam accommodates and clamps firmly different sizes of round bars or studs. The harder you turn the Stud-wrench, the tighter it grips onto the round bar / stud resulting into a slip-free grip.

The working principle of this Stud-wrench is derived from a geometric co-relationship of an involute curve of the cam and special positioning of the Circular-gripper. This system of gripping the stud ensures optimum clamping force upon different sizes of studs which also minimizes any damage to the stud even at the higher torque. The Circular-gripper is held to the cam with a solid stainless steel rivet. The riveting is done through orbital machine to confirm uniform movement of the Circular-gripper for smoother performance and improved grip.

The Stud-wrench is divided into two separate Circular-grippers; big and small. The big Circular-gripper covers the stud size from Ø 11 mm - Ø 20 mm whereas the small Circular-gripper takes care of remaining Ø 5 - Ø 10 mm stud size. Thus this wrench covers wider range of Ø 5 mm – Ø 20 mm size in a single tool making it the most preferred tool for professionals, plumbers, amateurs and do-it yourself segment of users.
